About Warakirri College
Warakirri College is a highly regarded independent school offering Year 10 and HSC courses to young people aged 15 to 22 years old who have disengaged from mainstream education pathways primarily due to struggles with anxiety or depression and social disadvantage. The College has campuses in Blacktown, Campbelltown and Fairfield and a Distance Education program. The College is also opening another campus in Redfern in 2026.
This role is located in our purpose-built Campbelltown North Campus.
We create a flexible and inclusive learning environment with extremely low student-to-staff ratios, small class sizes, and ATAR and non-ATAR study pathways. Each campus has approximately 100 students, facilitating positive relationships between staff and students. Around 30% of graduates receive an early offer for University, 50% progress to TAFE and 10% gain employment.
About The Role
This is a full-time, permanent role teaching Business Studies and Work Studies.
About You
The successful candidate will fit the following criteria:
* Capable of affirming and empowering students
* NESA Accreditation
* Able to work collaboratively within a team
* Ability to teach Business Studies and Work Studies
* A willingness to teach junior Mathematics
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Understanding of trauma informed practices
* A commitment to ongoing professional development
* Early career teachers are encouraged to apply
