Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to deliver high-quality technical support across desktop environments. This freelance role offers flexibility while providing hands-on experience in supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and end users.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide end-to-end desktop and laptop support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
* Handle IMAC activities (Install, Move, Add, Change) and break/fix support for end-user devices.
* Manage the device lifecycle, including OS imaging, configuration, patching, and hardware replacement.
* Use tools like SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and ServiceNow for deployment, ticket management, and remote support.
* Install, update, and maintain approved software and security patches in line with IT policies.
* Deliver deskside and remote support for Microsoft Office, Outlook, VPN, and enterprise applications.
* Support printers, scanners, and peripheral devices, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
* Assist with Active Directory tasks (user account management, access support).
* Provide VIP/user support and act as an escalation point during critical incidents.
* Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, assets, and resolutions.
* Ensure compliance with IT security standards, antivirus policies, and organizational guidelines.
* Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and service request management.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong hands-on experience in desktop / IT support environments
* Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and endpoint troubleshooting
* Experience with SCCM, Intune, ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
* Basic knowledge of Active Directory, networking, and VPN support
* Experience supporting hardware, peripherals, and mobile devices
* Excellent communication and customer support skills
* Ability to work independently in a freelance / field support environment
