Overview
Teacher - Year Coordinator - Student Services is a permanent full-time position at the Department of Education, Western Australia, commencing Term 4, 2025.

Role and Responsibilities
Lead wellbeing initiatives and reward programs that celebrate student success.
Support students in navigating social, emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges.
Apply restorative practices to resolve conflict and strengthen relationships.
Coordinate key school events and contribute to the smooth daily operation of Student Services.
Guide students through important transitions, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Engage every student in learning opportunities to help them achieve their personal best and develop life skills.
Qualifications and Attributes
Strong leadership, communication, and behaviour management skills.
Ability to build trusted relationships with students, staff, and families.
Genuine interest in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic wellbeing.
Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
Resilience, empathy, and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly.
Collaborative approach to problem-solving and the creativity to design innovative solutions for safe, supportive, and positive school communities.
Ideal for

Eligibility
Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.

Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
