DEPOT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
The Opportunity:
Role: Depot Operations Supervisor
Location: Mandurah, WA

Expected Hours of Work: Monday - Friday – 6:00am-3:30pm
Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Supervisor, this role is responsible for supporting the smooth operation of our Mandurah depot. The successful applicant will control and ensure loading/unloading and delivery operational functions are completed safely, efficiently and according to time schedules while monitoring labour requirements.

The position will include but will not be limited to the following duties:· Ensure quality, express movement of freight, without delays or losses, in accordance with Company policies and procedures;
· Maintain daily control over freight distribution timelines, freight security, freight handling care and paperwork management;
· Maintain team leadership – setting day-to-day order of tasks for your assigned team leaders, truck drivers, forklift drivers and dockhands
· Conduct corrective action(s) training with employees as required;
· Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures;
· Maintain regular housekeeping;
· Maintain vehicle maintenance and presentation
· Carry out general duties including administration tasks as required;
· Re-check freight exceptions for prompt delivery;
· Re-schedule jobs between team members and/or priority of tasks as required;
· Actively participate in the recruitment process including conducting interviews
and inductions of new employees;
· Do daily checks on drivers and their productivity and compliance

In order to be successful in this role you must possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years' experience within the transport and logistics industry(Essential)
· LF forklift license (Highly desirable)
· Minimum MR drivers license (desirable)
· Demonstrated experience in supervising and coordinating staff
· A broad understanding of transport laws, fatigue management and safety
requirements
· Intermediate level computer skills
· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
· Be highly organised with a keen eye for detail

This is a full time salaried position with remuneration dependent upon experience and qualifications.
