Sheet Metal Worker / CNC Laser Operator
Location: Workshop based in Bassendean
Hours: Full-time (38 hours per week)
We are currently seeking a motivated Sheet Metal Worker / CNC Laser Operator to join our workshop team. This is a hands-on role offering training, stability, and the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
About the Role In this position, you will be primarily responsible for operating our CNC Laser Cutting Machine, working with pre-set programs to cut sheet metal accurately and efficiently. Once parts are cut, you will be involved in bending and welding components to complete the fabrication process.
Full training on the CNC Laser Cutting Machine will be provided, along with ongoing support from our experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating a CNC Laser Cutting Machine using pre-set programs
* Loading metal sheets and monitoring cutting quality
* Bending components using a hydraulic press
* TIG welding fabricated parts (primarily aluminium)
* General fabrication and workshop duties
Skills & Experience: Experience in one or more of the following is required:
* Sheet metal work or fabrication
* CNC machinery operation (training provided on laser machine)
* Hydraulic press bending
* TIG welding (essential)
Hours of Work
* Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 3:45pm
* Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
(38 hours per week)
