Contribute to a Nationally Significant Energy Project
We are seeking an HSEQ Officer to support the implementation of safety, environmental and quality systems on site.
This role involves working closely with operations teams to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. You will assist with inductions, inspections, reporting, training support and general HSEQ compliance activities that contribute to the safe operation of our terminal.
* Support contractor, staff and visitor inductions ensuring PPE and basic HSEQ requirements are met.
* Assist with maintaining accurate HSEQ records, registers and reports escalating issues when required.
* Help implement HSEQ procedures in line with legislation and company standards.
* Conduct routine site inspections to identify hazards or non-compliances for follow-up by senior staff.
* Support toolbox talks, site safety drills and general HSEQ training activities.
* Assist with internal audits aligned to ISO management systems.
* Under supervision, support hazardous waste handling and correct segregation in accordance with site procedures.
Requirements
We are looking for a practical, site-focused HSEQ professional who has 3-5 years' experience in similar roles ideally within heavy industry. You should have understanding of WHS legislation, environmental obligations and risk management principles.
A relevant qualification in WHS, Environmental Science or a related field is highly regarded (Cert IV WHS)
