The Opportunity
Cavotec is seeking a skilled and commercially astute Finance Manager to oversee financial operations across Australia and New Zealand. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for all local accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial governance activities, while working closely with Group Finance to ensure alignment with global standards.
You'll play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, leading audits, managing tax compliance, and providing data-driven insight to support business decisions. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainability reporting and continuous process improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all finance operations across Australia & New Zealand
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Group consolidation
* Manage statutory compliance, audits, and tax filings (GST, payroll, corporate tax)
* Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
* Ensure accuracy of the General Ledger and maintain strong internal controls
* Partner with Group Finance on transfer pricing, reporting, and process initiatives
* Support sustainability reporting and financial data integrity
* Mentor and develop local finance staff
About You
* CPA or CA qualified (essential)
* Minimum six years' experience in finance management or senior accounting roles
* In-depth knowledge of Australian and New Zealand accounting and tax frameworks
* Experience in global or listed environments highly regarded
* Proficient in ERP systems (Navision/Business Central preferred) and Microsoft Excel
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Organised, self-motivated, and confident managing multiple priorities
* Eligible for or already holding a National Police Check clearance
