How you will make an impact as a Cook
* Responsible for the correct and hygienic preparation and serving of food.
* Responsible for maintaining and facilitating clean and hygienic work practices
* Preparation, serving, presentation, and delivery of food and refreshments in accordance with the Food Safety Program (FSP)
* Prevent cross-contamination and properly prepare food to meet special dietary requirements, such as gluten and dairy intolerances, allergies and preferences.
* Liaise with Assist the Chef and/or Chef Manager to liaise with residents and significant others for menu planning, food preparation and special occasions.
What you will bring to the role
* Experience in Aged Care (preferred)
* Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Cook in Aged Care would be advantageous but not necessary
* Understanding of special dietary needs
* Exceptional customer service mindset
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
