We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Allied Health Assistants to join our Physiotherapy team.
Job Description
As an AHA at Western Health, you will work with our acute or subacute teams to provide care to patients with a variety of clinical presentations to improve their function, mobility, and quality of life. Our positions are well supported by experienced and dedicated Allied Health Assistants and Physiotherapists and will enable you to work with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient-centered care.
* Provide individual therapy sessions;
* Assist Physiotherapy staff in co-treatment sessions;
* Take on other responsibilities which may include the management of equipment or administrative tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant qualification or other appropriate equivalent qualification;
* Excellent communication skills;
* The ability to learn and commit to providing excellent patient care;
* Adaptability and flexibility;
* The ability to work well within a team environment to assist patients, AHA, and Physiotherapy staff;
* The ability to ensure safe and high-quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies, as instructed by Physiotherapy staff;
* The ability to contribute to a culture that values ongoing learning and be part of a positive workplace.
