 
        
        Hands and Feet are a not for profit organisation who provide help in times of need for the poor, vulnerable, widows, orphans and people with disabilities. Our warehouse at OSBORNE PARK, WA is used to collect, sort and distribute food to people in need. 
Hands and Feet are looking for a competent warehouse manager to be employed on a permanent full-time basis. (38 hours a week). (We will consider Part time roles also) 
The role generally will involve working under the leadership of the Community Care Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of collecting and distributing food to people in need. The following activities would be expected of the successful applicant: 
Manage the day to day operations of the warehouse. 
Plan and develop efficient logístical processes for the collection and distribution of food, keeping records in our logistics software (Crittah). 
Manage staff and volunteers 
Manage the upkeep of the warehouse plant and vehicles. 
Maintaining a clean warehouse ensuring we maintain health standards as we handle food. 
Ensure any rubbish is collected and disposed of economically and appropriately 
Provide access to the warehouse when necessary. (Lock and unlock the warehouse as required) 
Managing a Work for Dole team and volunteers who help us sort and prepare food for delivery to people in need. 
Attend team and leadership development meetings 
Maintain valuable relationships with our warehouse neighbours 
Implement and train staff and volunteers on emergency procedures for the warehouse. 
Induct volunteers and Work for Dole participants in WHS protocols. 
Some qualifications that would be an advantage 
Have a LR Driver's License 
Have an understanding of safety protocols in operating forklifts 
Personal Skills: having patience and the ability to work with and encourage people

All applicants need to pass a Police Check Clearance and have a Working with Children Check clearance.
