Emergency Accommodation Residential Youth Worker
We are seeking experienced Casual Youth Workers for Emergency Accommodation to provide trauma‐informed support to young people during times of crisis.
Responsibilities
* Be available 24/7 and ready to work last‐minute shifts including after‐hours, overnight, weekends and public holidays.
* Provide immediate, trauma‐informed care to young people in crisis.
* Ensure safety, stability and emotional support during short‐term placements.
* Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours.
* Support daily routines, wellbeing and basic living needs.
* Transport young people using company vehicles when required.
* Document shift notes, observations and incidents accurately.
Qualifications
* Experience working with at‐risk or vulnerable young people, ideally in residential or crisis settings.
* Skilled in trauma‐informed practice.
* Calm, resilient and adaptable under pressure.
* Flexible and ready to step in at short notice.
* Committed to reflective practice, professional accountability and team collaboration.
* Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work, Community Services or a related field.
* Current Paid Blue Card.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
* National Police Check (valid within the last 2 years).
