Education Innovation Officer
We are seeking an experienced education professional to join our team, contributing to programs that connect students, teachers, communities, and organisations across local, national, and international levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver innovative, curriculum-aligned reef education content and experiences.
* Engage diverse audiences through a multiplatform education approach, including print, web-based content, face-to-face and online presentations, videoconferencing, experiential learning, and social media platforms.
* Drive continuous improvement across education programs, with a focus on strengthening educational products.
* Provide expert advice and technical knowledge on education practices, including the Australian Curriculum, STEAM, virtual delivery methods, content development, and reporting platforms.
* Deliver SMART reporting on educational programs and activities to senior management and external stakeholders.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the organisation and collaborating on education policy, projects, and operational initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Education and experience in marine biology, science communication or a related environmental science discipline. They will be an analytical and results-driven professional who sees tasks through to completion, with demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships.
This role plays a vital part in delivering educational initiatives that promote awareness and inspire action for the Great Barrier Reef. The position requires a creative practitioner who brings expertise in designing and delivering educational programs, resources, immersive experiences, and interactive exhibitions using a range of platforms, including leading-edge technologies.
