What you'll be doing
This is a strategic leadership role, not just campaign oversight.
You'll be responsible for elevating performance across the channel and the team behind it.
Drive performance strategy
* Identify and deliver incremental growth opportunities in an already mature channel
* Build and execute a testing and optimisation roadmap across all products
* Stay ahead of changes in search, AI and automation
Lead and develop the team
* Mentor and elevate a team of PPC specialists and managers
* Shift focus from day‐to‐day execution to strategic thinking and innovation
* Build capability across forecasting, testing and commercial decision‐making
Own commercial performance
* Manage and optimise multi‐million dollar spend
* Forecast, plan and deliver against business targets
* Translate performance into clear commercial outcomes for leadership
* Lead relationships with Google and Microsoft
* Leverage partnerships to unlock new opportunities, products and insights
Communicate at executive level
* Turn complex performance data into clear, actionable insights
* Influence decision‐making across the wider business
What success looks like
In your first 6–12 months, you'll be focused on:
* Driving efficient incremental growth across existing channels
* Unlocking new product and performance opportunities
* Delivering a clear, structured performance roadmap for each product stream
What you'll bring
This role needs someone who can operate at both a deep technical level and a commercial leadership level.
Must have
* Strong background in PPC / Paid Search (you've come up through the channel)
* Experience managing large‐scale, complex accounts and budgets
* Proven leadership experience — building and developing high‐performing teams
* Ability to own performance commercially (forecasting, efficiency, ROI)
* Confidence translating technical performance into executive‐level insights
Nice to have
* Experience in financial services (not essential)
* Exposure to AI‐driven optimisation or advanced data analysis
* Curiosity and drive to continuously test, learn and improve
