Operations Coordinator

About the role
As a key member of the Narngulu (Geraldton) yard operations and part of the Narngulu Extended Leadership Team, you will oversee daily movements of rolling stock and the timely scheduled yard operations.
You will be responsible for:
* Directing and managing the allocation, utilisation, and deployment of production resources to ensure disciplined execution of the yard plan.
* Developing, implementing, and managing processes, systems, and procedures that eliminate above rail factors within the cycle which impact supply chain performance and daily schedule attainment.
* Growing and maintaining the knowledge, skills, and attributes of yourself and the team, ensuring clear, current, and measurable goals aligned with the plan and business targets.
* Providing advice, coaching, and support to direct operational employees to achieve performance objectives, promoting high performance teams and supporting continuous improvement activities.
* Ensuring that all business activities and employees within the position's area of control comply with relevant legislative, statutory obligations, company policies, standards, and procedures.

About you
Ideally, you bring

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence others.
* A proactive approach to problem‐solving and confident decision‐making.
* Competence with digital tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Certificate IV/Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
* Train Driving and/or Shunt qualifications (highly desirable), with experience in yard operations strongly regarded.
