About the role
As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting accurate inventory management across MacKellar operations. This is a hands-on, detail-focused position working closely with site teams, Supply Chain, Finance and Compliance to ensure inventory data integrity, strong controls and effective follow-up.
Reporting to the Senior Inventory Specialist, you will support cycle counts, reporting, system checks and site engagement, allowing senior stakeholders to focus on governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
* Support the planning, execution and close-out of cycle counts and stocktakes across multiple sites
* Run inventory reports from JDE, validate data and investigate discrepancies
* Liaise with site teams to resolve variances, housekeeping issues and outstanding actions
* Prepare variance summaries, audit evidence packs and maintain clear audit trails
* Assist with inventory procedures, documentation control and site training support.
What you'll bring
* Experience in inventory, warehousing or supply chain operations
* Strong Excel skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to work with ERP systems (JDE preferred)
* Well-developed organisation, follow-up and communication skills
* Exposure to mining, heavy industry or asset-intensive environments (desirable).
