The Role
As the Senior HEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for driving safe and compliant delivery of the project as well as planning, coordinating and all SHEQ operations for the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring SHEQ Team activities, goals, objectives, targets, and key performance indicators (KPI's), are aligned with the Company and the Group's SHEQ vision, goals, and objectives.
* Accountable for the development and implementation of the Company's SHEQ strategy for improving SHEQ performance.
* Work with operational management to ensure execution of the SHEQ strategy, policies, and procedures.
* Communicate SHEQ strategy in a timely, effective, and consistent manner.
* Oversee, monitor, evaluate and report on Company SHEQ performance against both Company's and Group's objectives and targets.
* Develop, implement, monitor, and review a suitable integrated SHEQ management system to achieve SHEQ performance standards
* Contribute, develop, and implement SHEQ projects, programmes and processes aligned with both the Company's and Group SHEQ's strategic direction.
* Accountable for the recording, management and actioning of hazard reports, incidents, inspections, task observations, audits and other SHEQ related matters.
* Conduct SHEQ audits to assess compliance with the Company SHEQ Management system, policies, standards, and procedures.
Skills and Experience Required
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (diploma or higher preferred).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Senior SHEQ advisor in a similar industry.
* ICAM Lead Investigator.
* Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing SHEQ strategy.
* Demonstrated experience in achieving performance goals and objectives.
* Demonstrated strong safety record and knowledge of SHEQ.
* Current National Police Clearance.
Desirable Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Leadership / Management / Project Management.
* Experience in utilities and/or construction and/or resources industry.
* Skilled and experienced in managing SHEQ in complex and diverse organisations.
* Lead Auditor qualifications in safety, environment and/or quality management systems.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* Certificate/Diploma in Quality Auditing.
* FMG, RIO or BHP inducted
