Your Role
Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Reporting Lead to join our expert Finance team in Clayton, VIC. This role is responsible for managing the Group’s external and internal financial reporting, including quarterly reporting to Nippon Paint Group, annual and monthly financial statements, group consolidation, cashflow reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory filing requirements across jurisdictions.
In this role, you’ll manage 1 direct report and work together to ensure the timely and accurate lodgement of documents with regulatory authorities and effectively supporting the external audit process.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and guidance to the Group Accountant
* Prepare the calendar of deliverables for the Financial Reporting team
* Work with the Group Governance and Reporting Lead to manage the month-end consolidation process for the Group and preparation of the quarterly financial reporting package
* Liaise with the European and Pacific finance teams to ensure the group consolidation is accurate and completed in a timely manner
* Manage the preparation of the annual financial statements for DuluxGroup
* Understand the functionality and be an advocate for the use of the consolidation tool

Skills & Experience
* Degree qualified in Business/Commerce and CA/CPA qualified
* 5+ years’ work experience within a financial accounting and reporting environment including technical accounting analysis and application
* Experience in a consolidated Group environment, operating in multiple countries is preferred
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Ability to influence and hold others to account for delivery against timelines
* Advanced Excel skills and experience in using financial consolidation software
