Doltone Hospitality Group has recently been appointed as the catering partner for The Scots College. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Function Supervisor to coordinate and execute events, functions and daily meal services from start to finish while working closely with the leadership team. This hands-on role ensures every event runs smoothly, meets expectations and delivers a consistently professional, high-quality experience.

Your main responsibilities:

* Organise, coordinate and execute events, functions and catering services from setup to pack-down.
* Liaise with stakeholders to understand event objectives, requirements and ensure delivery reflects The Scots College's reputation and values.
* Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, safety and service across all events.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing enquiries and special requests promptly and professionally.
* Demonstrate strength in event coordination and delivery, including the development and implementation of comprehensive run-sheets.
* Maintain exceptional standards of customer service, delivering personalised experiences to students, faculty staff and guests.
* Assist with post-event procedures, including reporting, pack-down and feedback collection to support continuous improvement.
* Foster a professional, collaborative and positive culture among catering staff.


Your attributes:

* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering efficient operations and high-quality customer service.
* Adaptable and flexible, thriving in fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
* Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.


Your experience:

* Minimum 3 years' experience within food and beverage operations or events preferably in education, venue or hospitality settings.
* Working with Children Check is essential.
* Responsible Service of Alcohol is essential.
* Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration or equivalent experience is an advantage.
* In depth understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.
* Familiarity with health, safety and hygiene regulations in hospitality settings.

Please note: This position operates during the school term only. There is no requirement to work during school holiday periods, which are unpaid, offering an excellent work–life balance aligned with the academic calendar.
