Outsourcing ManagerLiverpool£50,000 - £55,000 (Depending on Experience)Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are partnering with a leading firm of chartered accountants in Liverpool, who are now looking to add an experienced Outsourcing Manager to their team.As an Outsourcing Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients from a range of business sectors. You will be the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently.The hands‐on client workload will be varied and will see you overseeing and signing off bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and month‐end closes. You'll manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities for outsourced projects.In addition to the client management aspect of the position, you'll oversee and assist in the development of junior staff, providing necessary support and reviewing their work.The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA Qualified with strong and varied general practice experience. Excellent communication skills are essential to build and maintain successful relationships with both new and existing clients, as well as with your team.This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious and modern Liverpool based firm where you'll form an important part of an already successful and growing department.Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a diverse outsourcing portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
* Oversee and sign off bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and month‐end close.
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities for outsourced projects.
* Ensure all client deliverables meet SLAs, statutory deadlines, and compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC rules.
* Present management accounts with commentary, insights, and recommendations to support client decision making.
* Manage and develop outsourcing seniors and juniors, including capacity planning, performance reviews, and training.
* Drive process improvements, standardisation, and automation across outsourced finance operations.
* Oversee system implementation and optimisation projects.
* Monitor budgets, profitability, WIP, billing, and service scope to ensure commercial performance.
* Identify and deliver advisory opportunities such as process enhancement, reporting improvements, and finance function transformation.
