Role Description/Criteria
Successful applicants must:
* Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos.
* Align with the MACS Vision for Instruction and MACS Vision for Engagement.
* Proven capability in delivering explicit instruction in key areas such as Literacy and Numeracy.
* Understand cognitive load theory.
* Implement best practice instruction, curriculum planning (evidence-based, knowledge-rich, coherent and sequenced) and assessment practice.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
Key Requirements:
* VIT registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or willingness to undertake accreditation).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting, learning-focused relationships with staff, students and families.
* A commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
* A proactive approach to professional growth, including giving and receiving feedback.
