Lead tailings design and delivery across the full project life cycle.
This senior role suits a practical, people‐first engineer who enjoys setting direction, lifting standards and mentoring others. You will provide technical leadership on tailings and waste facilities from early studies through detailed design and construction, with a focus on quality, efficiency and collaboration.
About the Role
- Review, design, construction support and remediation of tailings structures across study, design and construction stages
- Run desk-based studies and due diligence reviews using data from multiple sources
- Lead scoping and pre‐feasibility studies and develop pragmatic, buildable solutions
- Design and supervise waste facilities with sound geotechnical and water management inputs
- Project management and coordination across scope, schedule, budget and risk About You
- Degree in Engineering with geotechnical or civil specialisation
- 10+ years' relevant experience in mining projects, with tailings design/build/maintenance exposure
- Strong technical ability in tailings management, geotechnics, heap leaching and water management
- Confident reviewing analyses and reports, and conducting audits
- Proven stakeholder skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Leadership and people management experience, including mentoring and team development
- Comfortable contributing to business development and client relationship growth
- Brisbane based or open to relocate (support available)
