The Role
We're seeking a skilled Carpenter / Leading Hand to join our Brisbane-based team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in technically demanding environments, takes pride in their craft, and understands the nuances of architectural construction.
You'll work closely with our Director and site teams to deliver high-end residential projects, mentor apprentices, and uphold the standards that define Thurva's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute complex carpentry tasks with precision across structural, envelope, and fit-out stages
• Lead and coordinate internal teams and apprentices to ensure quality and safety
• Interpret architectural and structural documentation with confidence and clarity
• Maintain site compliance with WHS, insurance, and environmental protocols
• Uphold Thurva's ethos of respect, discretion, and client-centric delivery
What You Bring
• Proven experience in high-end residential carpentry and site leadership
• Strong understanding of structural detailing, waterproofing, and envelope performance
• Ability to mentor apprentices and foster a culture of craftsmanship and learning
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• White Card, relevant trade qualifications, and valid driver's licence
• Experience working with architectural builders or design-led firms
