About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Engineer Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation of financial and technical submissions for tendering activities.
You will revise costs and manage recommendation documentation relating to refrigeration and airconditioning installation for our retail sites (new build and refurbishment).

* Manage the day-to-day procurement (including all tendering activities and recommendations) of refrigeration investment.
* Support the development of the tendering strategy for all refrigeration investment (design, installation, equipment procurement & maintenance).
* Establish the scope and specifications of the contract for which the submission is being prepared.
* Ensure engineering design intent and field feedback is maintained throughout scoping and tendering activity.
* Manage tendering activity in alignment with the construction scheduled dates.
* Prepares accurate, timely and professional tender scopes and submissions and assists to verify variation submission validity and value.
* Accountability for Safety/Time/Cost/Quality for refrigeration, HVAC and engineering scope of works.
* Management of tendering and awarding works for refrigeration, HVAC and engineering.
* Ensure that all services are delivered to the latest kit and specifications.
* Manage the financial position of the project including cost reporting, forecasting, variation management etc.
* Scope, review and provide condition audit reports for existing sites.
* Liaise with property and landlords/developers on sites.
* Provide support with on-site sustainability planet initiatives (eg. refrigeration replacements, retrofit of doors on open cases).
* Coordinate post project documentation and warranty works.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with:
* A trade qualification – Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or relevant tertiary qualifications in an engineering or science discipline.
* Minimum 5 years experience in Construction projects.
* General Construction Industry White Card.
* Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications and store CAD plans.
* Experience in highly disruptive fit out environments desirable.
* Procore and SAP knowledge would be beneficial.
* Experience in retail projects desirable.
* QS and/or cost planning experience will be well regarded.
* Note: intra- and inter-state travel will be required in the role.
