As a senior member of the Operations Team, you will safely, compliantly, and profitably deliver drilling services to our customer base nationally. This is a leadership role where drilling experience is not essential however a sound understanding of the drilling purpose is required. The key accountability for this role is owning and driving more sustainable and improved business performance across Australia.
Responsibilities
* Lead operational matters including the application of operational systems, processes, and practices.
* Demonstrate an understanding of the role drilling services has in the cycle of mining operations and how it adds value to the client.
* Ensure compliance, safety and ethical operation at all times.
* Budgeting/forecasting experience and delivering financial outcomes.
* Maintain outstanding customer/relationship management and communication skills.
* Engage with, align, and focus teams to deliver operational excellence.
* Manage contractors (preferably within mining) and lead continuous improvement across the business.
* Coach and develop individuals/teams, including competency development and performance management.
* Embed Environmental, Social & Governance considerations and drive this within the organisation.
* Contribute to driving new research development and technology.
Qualifications
* A strong understanding of Water Well drilling methods.
* Willingness to contribute to driving new research development and technology.
* Ability to contribute to and lead governance, safety, and ethical operations.
* Experience in budgeting/forecasting and delivering financial outcomes.
* Outstanding customer/relationship management and communication skills.
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Residence in Western Australia (site-based with regular travel to operational sites).
