Overview
A well-established WA-based exploration company is seeking a ticketed Loader Operator to support ongoing greenfields and brownfields exploration programs at a remote site. The role is primarily focused on operating a Volvo L120 wheeled loader for drill site preparation and rehabilitation works, with hands-on exploration field support as required.
The role
* Operation of Volvo L120 wheeled front-end loader
* Drill pad construction, access tracks and sumps
* Drill site preparation and rehabilitation
* General exploration field support duties
* Occasional operation of additional equipment where tickets and experience allow
* Statement of Attainment to operate a wheeled front-end loader (RIIMPO321 or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience operating loaders in exploration or mining environments
* Minimum LR driver's licence (MR or HR preferred)
* Strong safety focus and practical, hands-on approach
* Ability to work autonomously in a small exploration team
Highly regarded
* Excavator ticket
* Exploration Field Assistant experience
Roster
* FIFO ex-Perth
* 7:7 or 14:14 roster
Rates
* $600–$700 per day + super for loader operators with exploration field support capability
* Higher rates considered for highly experienced, multi-skilled exploration operators
Engagement
* Contract role initially
* Potential for longer-term work depending on program continuity and performance
* This role will suit a practical operator who enjoys hands-on exploration work rather than large-scale production mining.
