The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced senior human resources advisor to join our national HR team in a true generalist capacity, with a strong focus on employee and industrial relations. Based in Eagle Farm, this is a pivotal role partnering closely with operational leaders across multiple sites. You will provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice within a fast‐paced industrial environment.
Reporting to the General Manager HR & Industrial Relations, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through effective people management, workforce planning and risk mitigation.
Overview of Duties
* Provide end‐to‐end HR advisory support across the employee lifecycle.
* Lead and support employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, investigations and performance management.
* Support enterprise agreement negotiations and implementation.
* Provide advice on industrial instruments and the Fair Work Act.
* Partner with leaders to drive workforce planning and organisational structure improvements.
* Support recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives.
* Contribute to HR reporting, metrics and data‐driven insights.
* Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives, policies and frameworks.
* Coach and support leaders to build capability and accountability.
Requirements & Skills
* Proven experience in a senior human resources advisor or similar role, ideally within industrial, construction, mining or services environments.
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline (desirable).
* Strong employee and industrial relations expertise, including exposure to EBA negotiations, investigations, disciplinary processes, and performance management.
* Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act.
* Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying modern awards and enterprise agreements.
* Ability to manage complex workplace matters with confidence and professionalism.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
* High level of discretion and attention to detail.
