Disability Support Worker Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality support services to people with disabilities.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will work with clients in Perth, supporting them with daily living activities, domestic duties, and empowering them to achieve their life goals. You will be responsible for assisting participants in achieving their individual goals, supporting them in community access, and building their confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide person-centered support to clients, promoting their independence and autonomy
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and other professionals to achieve individualized goals
- Assist clients in participating in age-appropriate activities and tasks, including employment, in-home disability support, and community access
- Monitor and report on client progress, ensuring adherence to support plans and policies
- Liaise extensively with other staff to ensure smooth and consistent running of disability services
- Participate in lifestyle service planning and monitoring outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A qualification in community, disability, or individual support, aged care, or mental health, preferably with relevant experience
- Experience working with clients with disabilities and challenging behaviors
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
- 100-point check ID
- Valid visa/working rights in Australia
- Certification in first aid/CPR, medication, manual handling, working with children, NDIS clearance, and Covid-19 vaccination
