The team specializes in developing, validating, and monitoring complex quantitative credit risk models for financial institutions, primarily banks and non-bank lenders. Additionally, the team addresses upcoming regulatory and accounting changes, assisting clients in implementing or understanding their impacts.What will your typical day look like?Specifically, you will:Assist in delivering credit risk solutions and analytics.Collaborate with a driven team across various projects focused on risks faced by banks and financial services companies.Work effectively as part of a team, sharing responsibility, supporting colleagues, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.Develop and utilize your quantitative, problem-solving, statistical, analytical, and communication skills through model development and validation engagements.Adopt a client-centred approach.Understand market trends and disruptions, translating these into market-leading business opportunities.Enough about us, let’s talk about you.We’re looking for someone with:A relevant degree in statistics, actuarial science, engineering, or mathematics. Post-graduate qualifications are highly desirable.At least 3 years of experience in consulting or large financial institutions.Experience building, reviewing, and validating credit risk models such as PD, LGD, EAD for IFRS9 and Regulatory Capital.Strong financial services skills and knowledge of Regulatory and IFRS landscapes.Interest or experience in stress testing models, including climate-related credit modeling.A self-starter, capable of managing teams and providing guidance to junior members.Confident in both oral and written communication.Knowledge of software environments like SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Python, or C++ is preferred.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to quality.Experience with advanced methodologies like Machine Learning, NLP, AI is a plus but not essential.If you don’t think you're a perfect fit, sign up to Hatch and create a profile.
