About the role .
Acclime Australia is currently accepting applications for an exciting new role, where we look to expand our client services offering to encompass the Australian screen (including gaming) industry.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to help grow a business in this thriving sector. You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive accounting and consulting services to international film studios and local Australian producers and gaming developers, with a particular focus on the Australian Federal and State incentives available in this sector.
With support from existing screen sector experts in the Acclime network, and tax experts, you will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing financial processes, and providing strategic guidance to ensure compliance and financial success.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to leverage their experience already gained within the Australian screen sector and drive a growing business within Australia in the fastest-growing professional services group in the Asia-Pacific region.
Due to the continuing growth of our business, we are searching for an ambitious person to join our team in our Sydney office.
What will you be doing?What are we looking for?
7+ years' experience in accounting
CA/CPA qualification (or working towards this)
Ideally, hands-on experience working as a production accountant on international/domestic live-action film/TV productions (including use of industry-specific production accounting systems), or extensive experience working with the screen sector in another chartered accountancy firm specialising in this sector
Working knowledge of the Federal and associated State screen incentive criteria
Ideally, existing relationships/associations with Australian producers and industry participants
