Senior Landscape Architect/Project Landscape Architect
RPS is a leading Landscape Architecture consultancy that challenges the traditional separation between natural and built environments and helps clients harness the productivity, livability, and sustainability benefits of inspired landscape design.
We are seeking a highly‐organised and proficient Senior Landscape Architect to be based at our Birtinya office. You will be responsible for providing appropriate design solutions, documentation, and ensuring client requirements are achieved in a profitable and cost‐efficient manner.
As part of a multidisciplinary group, you will have the chance to work with colleagues in urban design, planning, survey, project management, business case professionals, heritage and environment specialists.
As a Landscape Architect you will have exposure to the full scope of the landscape design process across various industry sectors with a strong focus on urban regeneration across Victoria, ACT, New South Wales and Queensland. You will work on exciting award‐winning projects including:
* Sunshine Coast Airport Gateway Precinct Master Plan
* Birtinya Town Centre
About the Role
Assist in achieving a successful project from inception to delivery and ensuring client satisfaction through the on‐time delivery of a quality product.
Responsibilities
* Prepare plans and documents for projects, including computer‐based plans (AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign), hand‐drawn sketch plans, written reports and specifications, and cost estimates.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and proactively assist client managers in finding solutions.
* Resolve complex design problems (grading, construction detailing, etc.).
* Assist client manager where required to ensure monthly invoices are completed on time and WIP is invoiced regularly.
* Stakeholder management internally and externally with clients, government subcontractors, sub‐consultants and industry bodies.
Who You Are
* A tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture (BBE) or equivalent recognised by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) is preferred but not essential.
* Ideally you will have 10+ years of previous experience in landscape architecture design within a professional practice.
* Professional services consultancy experience.
* Efficient user of relevant computer packages (AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop) required.
* Comprehension of other computer packages such as Revit, Sketch‐up, Lumion is advantageous.
* Unrestricted Australian driving licence.
You must have citizenship, PR status or a visa that entitles you to work full time on an ongoing basis. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
