Overview

This is a permanent full-time position commencing April 2026. Broome Residential College is seeking a Male Boarding Supervisor to join their friendly and professional team.

The Role

The Boarding Supervisor is responsible for supervising students in a residential setting and ensuring their wellbeing while fulfilling duty of care obligations in accordance with Department policies and relevant legislation. The role supports and reinforces positive values and behaviour among students, with a strong focus on respect for multicultural diversity. The supervisor provides pastoral care, monitors student health and safety, distributes medication according to approved instructions, and promptly reports concerns relating to wellbeing, child protection, safety, and maintenance to senior staff.

The position involves planning and implementing a variety of structured leisure and development activities that support students' academic, social, emotional and physical growth. The Boarding Supervisor also coordinates student transport to activities, maintains accurate records of student movements and wellbeing, and ensures risk management and occupational safety requirements are met within the residential environment. Strong organisational and communication skills are highly regarded to effectively supervise students and manage daily boarding operations.

The role requires regular communication with students, parents, school staff and colleagues to support student development and wellbeing. The Boarding Supervisor also participates in college events and promotional activities such as orientation days, award presentations and community events. In addition, the role requires adherence to the Public Sector Code of Ethics and ongoing participation in professional learning to maintain the knowledge and skills necessary for supervising and supporting young people in a residential boarding environment.

* Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
* Demonstrated capacity to successfully meet and maintain the required eligibility and training requirements of this position.
