Job Description
Service Stream is looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) professional to join our team as a People & Experience (P&E) Consultant. The successful candidate will provide HR advisory services to support the effective management of our employees and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
This role involves providing practical and operational HR advice and support to managers and employees across various aspects of employment law, policies, procedures, and workplace relations. You will be responsible for facilitating the employee journey, working strategically with stakeholders to identify talent attraction strategies, and delivering timely, high-quality P&E advisory services and operational support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Facilitating the employee journey across the entire employee life cycle;
* Working strategically with key stakeholders to identify and implement talent attraction strategies;
* End-to-end case management of people-related queries, including coordination of enquiries with relevant P&E Centre of Excellence and/or Payroll;
* Delivering timely, consistent, and high-quality P&E advisory services and operational support to employees and managers;
* Developing strong relationships with leaders to become trusted advisers and influence their people management duties;
* Contributing to the development of people leaders by coaching them towards self-sufficiency in people management and promoting the relationship between line manager and employee as the primary employment relationship;
* Ensuring compliance with P&E Policies and Procedures, Industrial Instruments, and National Employment Standards by helping managers understand HR risks and how to effectively manage them;
* Delivering a range of administrative and support services, including maintaining accurate employee and position data in Workday, developing P&E correspondence, and reporting & analytics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing Generalist HR advice, ideally within a fast-paced and complex environment. Demonstrated ability to analyse complex people-related issues and provide advice and solutions to achieve positive business outcomes is essential. Ability to partner with stakeholders, with strong communication and influencing skills, is also required.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related field are highly desirable. Experience within critical infrastructure or related industry would be highly desirable.
