Role Description: Research Analyst

A
Research Analyst
is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making within an organization. This role is crucial in various sectors such as finance, marketing, healthcare, technology, and government, among others. Research Analysts use a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods to evaluate trends, market conditions, competitor activity, and consumer behavior, contributing valuable information to improve strategies, operations, and products.

In general, a Research Analyst works with both primary and secondary data sources. Primary data involves direct collection through surveys, interviews, or observations, while secondary data includes data gathered from already existing sources like reports, databases, or public records.
