About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience in PACU / Recovery to join our clinical team on a part time basis with a minimum 64 hours per fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster, no weekends or public holidays, Christmas/ New Year off
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi‐disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
* Lead and drive the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence‐based patient care
* Using advanced clinical skills, guide the team on relevant standards, policies and training
* Assist in the management of team rosters, workloads and delegation of tasks
* Support the GM/DON in quality activities and procurement
* Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
* Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
* Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
* Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift
About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world‐class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
* Solid experience in Recovery PACU nursing in a perioperative setting
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* A passion for education and mentoring
* Advanced clinical and technical skills including problem solving skills
