We are currently seeking a local HSE Advisor to support one of our key clients in the Mackay region. This is a rare Monday–Friday opportunity suited to someone living locally who values stability, strong team culture, and meaningful impact within an established operation.
Position Overview:
As an HSE Advisor, you will work closely with site leaders and workers to strengthen safety culture, ensure compliance, and support the development and implementation of effective HSE systems. You’ll be a trusted partner on-site, providing guidance, coaching, and practical support across day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional HSE advice, coaching, and support across the operation.
* Drive continual improvement in safety culture and performance.
* Maintain HSE Management Plans, risk registers, and hazard controls.
* Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action processes.
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, standards, and Codes of Practice.
Key Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety (minimum Diploma).
* Experience in a similar HSE role within operational environments.
* Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and standards.
* ICAM or equivalent investigation qualification (highly regarded).
* Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Current Police Clearance, driver’s licence, and local to Mackay
