The Opportunity

Are you passionate about using your expertise in carbon accounting and data analytics to drive meaningful change? Join HealthShare NSW in a pivotal role supporting the transition to a net zero future.

As the Lead Carbon Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in advancing environmental sustainability across one of Australia's largest and most complex shared service organisations. You'll lead the analysis, modelling, and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, 2, and relevant Scope 3), applying recognised frameworks such as NGERS and Climate Active to ensure compliance with legislation and climate policies. Your insights will directly shape strategies that reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and deliver sustainable outcomes to the NSW Health system.

We're looking for someone with qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, data analytics or a related field, and experience in carbon accounting or emissions reporting (ISO 14064, NGERS, Climate Active). The ideal candidate will also bring experience in conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) using relevant tools, and applying Marginal Abatement Cost (MAC) curves to evaluate and prioritise emissions reduction opportunities. Strong skills in data management, modelling and visualisation, along with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and work collaboratively across large organisations, are essential.
