About the Role
The Mine Surveyor will be responsible for delivering site survey requirements for both underground and surface aspects of the operation, using up-to-date Leica Total Station equipment as well as surface and underground drones.
This role involves maintaining accurate survey control of underground workings, surface development, and stockpiles, carrying out detailed surveys for end-of-month volumes, and effectively communicating information to the technical team in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will also ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations, as well as surveying standards, and generate accurate survey data.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining accurate survey control of underground workings, surface development, and stockpiles.
* Carrying out detailed surveys for end-of-month volumes and reporting.
* Effective use and maintenance of Leica Total Station equipment and GPS equipment.
* Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations, as well as Vault Minerals surveying standards.
* Generating accurate survey data and effectively communicating information to the technical team in a timely manner.
* Assisting with ensuring emergency plans are up-to-date and easily accessible (as per regulatory requirements).
* Producing mine plans for regulatory submissions (under the direction and supervision of the appointed surveyor).
* Installation of necessary survey control for directional control of mining.
* Producing survey plans and memos as required to a high standard.
* Assisting with compiling monthly reports.
* Assisting/conducting aerial survey work as required using a DJI M350 and Elios 3 Drones and associated processing software, including Flyability, Pix4D, and QGIS.
