Key Responsibilities
Environmental Noise Management
* Conduct comprehensive environmental noise impact assessments for residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
* Model and predict noise propagation using advanced simulation tools, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
* Develop noise mitigation strategies, including barriers, building orientation, and material specifications, to minimise community impact.
* Prepare reports and liaise with regulatory authorities to secure approvals.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
* Provide expert guidance on environmental acoustics to project teams and mentor junior engineers in best practices and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Work closely with architects, planners, and developers to integrate noise control measures into project designs from concept through construction.
Field Measurements & Analysis
* Perform detailed on‐site environmental noise monitoring, including baseline surveys and compliance testing, and analyse results against relevant standards.
Reporting & Communication
* Produce clear, concise technical reports and presentations for clients, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders, translating complex acoustic data into actionable insights.
Continuous Improvement
* Stay abreast of evolving environmental noise regulations, standards, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering, science, or physics disciplines; advanced degree an asset.
* Demonstrated interest in noise, acoustics and vibration.
* Ability to work in a variety of physically demanding environments.
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
* Superior written and verbal communication skills.
