We are seeking a seasoned Network Systems Engineer with extensive experience in virtualization management.
* Design, configure and oversee the administration of Microsoft Windows domain environments and Hyper-V virtualization systems.
* Develop and maintain thorough Standard Operating Procedures for Windows Server, Active Directory and hyper-v environments.
* Identify and troubleshoot complex issues within the virtualization environment including Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
* Assess and implement strategic upgrade strategies to ensure system performance maximization.
* Manage server maintenance across multiple locations.
* Provide technical support to helpdesk engineers at an expert level.
* Lead the design and implementation of advanced solutions, collaborating with other technical staff as necessary.
* Formulate complex system standards, thresholds and recommendations to optimize system performance.
* Conduct capacity planning reviews with senior management and validate capacity plans submitted by junior personnel.
* Develop strategic plans to manage patch cycles and application rollouts.
* Monitor server backups and network uptime ensuring high service availability.
* Collaborate with third-party vendors for technical support and procurement services.
* Coordinate proposals and estimates for various system administration projects with business development teams.
* Design secure networks, implement security policies and provide guidance to the team on best practices.
