Senior Employment Lawyer (Remote + Part time + Employee or Contractor Options)
We are a boutique law firm, primarily specialising in employment law nationally. Our mission is to provide speedy, practical, high quality advice to small-medium sized businesses, with a true CX focus and relationship-driven approach.
We provide advice and solutions on the full ambit of employment law matters, including contracts, industrial instrument interpretation, management of injured workers, dispute resolution, investigation and litigation. We also provide services to employees where no conflict arises.
We are a modern law firm challenging the status quo. We like to think we have taken all the good things about traditional big law and in-house work, and chucked out the rest.

We are looking for a senior employment lawyer who is comfortable to run matters end to end. Ideally, you are at a Senior Associate level or higher, or may be the Principal of your own law firm and looking for additional work.
We expect this role can be performed within 2-3 days per week if needed.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Quality experience and skills in the provision of strategic commercial legal and advisory services. We want someone with great technical expertise and training. Ideally, you will have training from a big firm and some in-house experience with a focus on employment law.
- The experience required to independently produce premium quality work and an unrestricted practising certificate.
- The ability and desire to work collaboratively and autonomously.
- Ideas and clients to grow the business.
- A solution motivated mindset.
- The drive to innovate and create, and a thirst for continuous learning.
- The ability to think strategically as well as 'roll up your sleeves'.
- Established client and industry connections and business development skills.
- The desire to be part of a business that values client service and integrity.
- Leadership experience to mentor future hires.
You may also:
- have clients you would like to continue to service but you don't want to start your own practice;
