Specialist Pharmacist – Critical Care (508357L3)
Department: Health, Community, Mental Health & Wellbeing, CMHW – Tasmanian Health Services
Location: Royal Hobart Hospital, Tasmania's largest tertiary referral centre.
Role: Senior pharmacist providing pharmaceutical care to critical care patients, training and supervising pharmacy staff, coordinating clinical pharmacy activities and drug information within the specialist area of critical care medicine.
Responsibilities
* Provide and coordinate comprehensive pharmaceutical care as part of a multidisciplinary team in critical care medicine.
* Dispense medication and provide patient counselling, offering professional advice and consultancy services to health professionals.
* Educate pharmacy staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and supervise other pharmacists and support staff in the specialist areas.
* Maintain and provide drug information and drug utilisation evaluation, and participate in education programmes for health professionals.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Pharmacy approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia, or an overseas qualification eligible for skills assessment through the Australian Pharmacy Council.
* Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (pre‐registration pharmacists eligible for provisional registration).
* Experience in clinical pharmacy services in an acute or critical care setting is desirable.
Employment
Fixed‐term, part‐time shift worker position, 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 13 February 2027.
Salary
$110,425 to $121,907 pro‐rata per annum (12% superannuation contribution on top).
