Harnest is the social and affordable housing arm of Mazzei Group, delivering social housing, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), and medium-density projects across Victoria and South Australia.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, in Melbourne, to lead the delivery of a portfolio of social housing and SDA projects.
You will take full ownership of end-to-end project delivery - from pre-construction and procurement through to completion - ensuring outcomes are commercially disciplined, technically robust and socially meaningful.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of social housing and SDA projects
* Establish and maintain disciplined cost, program, risk and reporting controls across multiple projects
* Manage AS-based head contracts, variations, EOTs and commercial risk with confidence
* Build trusted relationships with government, client, consultant and authority stakeholders
* Mentor Project Coordinators, Contract Administrators and Site teams, embedding consistent standards and behaviours
* Drive a culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement across the portfolio
* Support resource planning, sequencing and performance reporting to ensure predictable outcomes
About You
* 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager within construction
* Strong working knowledge of AS-based contracts, regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
* Commercially astute, with disciplined approaches to cost control, forecasting and risk management
* Confident communicator, able to engage senior stakeholders and provide clear, balanced advice
* A leader who coaches others, raises standards and builds systems that endure
Why Join Harnest
* Join a values-led construction group, backed by Mazzei Group, with the stability and scale to support complex, long-term delivery
* Work within a business delivering $100m+ annual turnover with a $150m+ forward pipeline
* Lead meaningful, purpose-driven projects across social housing, SDA and medium-density that deliver tangible community outcomes
* Be part of a fully integrated, end-to-end business spanning advisory, design and construction - enabling greater control, collaboration and quality
* Step into a role where you are trusted to set standards, influence delivery models and shape how projects are delivered - not simply manage them
* Work alongside experienced, grounded and approachable leaders who are actively involved and genuinely invested in their people
