Geriatric Medicine Advanced Trainee Position
This position is designed for physician trainees pursuing advanced training in Geriatric Medicine. The role offers a tailored experience, enhancing clinical, professional, and leadership skills within a supportive environment.
As an Advanced Trainee, you will gain significant exposure to patient care, expand your knowledge, and participate in educational activities. You will work closely with experienced geriatricians, developing essential skills for a consultant role.
The position may involve providing geriatric expertise across various settings, including hospitals, community services, and ambulatory clinics.
About the Position:
* Hospital Care: Acute and subacute care, consultative and shared care, primary care, and supervising patient care teams.
* Community Care: Admitted services like Hospital in the Home and GEM at Home, non-admitted services like Residential In-Reach and the Transition Care Program.
* Ambulatory Care: Complex and specialist geriatric medicine clinics, conducted in-person or via telehealth.
Advanced Trainees are allocated protected time for training and research, with minimal on-call commitments. They contribute to the team's performance, aligning with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Objectives.
Essential Requirements
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
* Registration for Advanced Training in Geriatric Medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
* Demonstrated experience, knowledge, skills, and aptitude in clinical medicine practice.
