Crowne Plaza Canberra is hiring a Casual Chef at all levels. As a Chef, you'll work closely with the kitchen leadership team and assist in the daily operations of our Food and Beverage operations across the Restaurant (Redsalt), Lume Bar, Conferencing and Room Service.
Day to Day
Work throughout kitchen sections such as Grill, Pans and Larder
Produce high quality food and presentation with a la carte dishes and buffet style
Follow kitchen and hotel policies, procedures and brand standards
Maintain daily cleaning throughout the kitchen
Pay close attention to presentation, garnish dishes with precision and creativity to enhance visual appeal
Lead collaboration with the kitchen team and foster a positive and productive work environment
Follow HACCP regulations and guidelines
What We Need
Working rights in Australia
Knowledge of the industry and what is expected
Valid food handling certificates
Commercial cookery certification
Experience working in a hotel kitchen or similar culinary environment is highly desirable
Mix of skills and experience as well as personality and passion
Be able to work autonomously and collaborate with a positive "can do attitude" with front and back of house culinary team
