The Role

We're seeking a proactive and highly organised IT & Security Operations Manager to help strengthen our internal technology environment, security governance, and operational resilience. As an IT & Security Operations Manager at Hello Clever, you will play a key role in strengthening our internal IT and security operations. You will help drive secure ways of working across the business by supporting governance, managing vendors and procurement, improving internal controls, and ensuring our systems and processes remain reliable, secure, and well‐managed.
Key Responsibilities
* IT Security Governance: Support and maintain internal IT security governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures. Help ensure security practices are consistently applied across systems, devices, access controls, and vendors.
* IT Operations: Oversee day‐to‐day internal IT operations, including user access, device lifecycle management, software administration, system reliability, and support processes. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and security posture.
* Risk & Compliance Support: Assist with security reviews, audits, risk assessments, evidence collection, and internal controls. Work closely with internal stakeholders to track remediation actions and improve ongoing compliance readiness.
* Procurement: Manage IT procurement processes including hardware, software, security tools, and internal systems. Evaluate requirements, coordinate purchasing, and ensure assets and subscriptions are appropriately tracked and maintained.
* Vendor Management: Own relationships with IT and security vendors, including onboarding, performance tracking, contract renewals, cost optimisation, and security due diligence. Help ensure third‐party providers meet company standards and business needs.
* Access & Identity Management: Support user provisioning and deprovisioning, role‐based access controls, and periodic access reviews to maintain least‐privilege principles and reduce operational risk.
* Incident & Operational Readiness: Support internal security and IT incident processes, including issue escalation, coordination, documentation, and follow‐up actions. Help improve business continuity and operational resilience practices.
* Cross‐Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product, People & Culture, Finance, and external partners to ensure secure and effective IT operations across the business.
* Documentation & Process Improvement: Create and maintain clear internal documentation for IT processes, security procedures, asset management, vendor records, and operational playbooks. Promote best practices across the company.
You're a Perfect Fit if You Have:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail
* 5 years of experience across IT operations, cybersecurity, IT governance, or internal security functions, preferably within fintech or other fast‐paced environments
* 2 years experience of internal IT operations including managing IT vendors, procurement processes, software subscriptions, and third‐party tools
* Familiarity with security governance, access management, endpoint management, asset management, and operational controls
* Experience supporting audits, risk assessments, compliance activities, or security assurance programs
* The ability to balance hands‐on operational work with structured process improvement
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
* A practical, business‐minded approach to improving security and operational maturity
Bonus Points if You Have:
* Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated environments
* Familiarity with common security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI‐DSS or similar standards
* Experience helping scale IT and security operations in a growing company
