UI/UX Designer ($140,000-$150,000)

Overview An established organisation is seeking a UI/UX Designer to research, design, and validate user-centred digital solutions across complex product environments.
This role focuses on deeply understanding user needs and translating insights into clear workflows, intuitive interfaces, and validated design solutions that support product development. You'll operate with a high level of autonomy across discovery, design, testing, and delivery, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure usability, clarity, and measurable value remain central throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities User Research & Problem Definition
* Plan and conduct structured and ad-hoc user research to gather insights and validate assumptions.
* Synthesise user feedback, behavioural data, and business objectives into clear, actionable requirements.
* Document user needs, journeys, and problem spaces to support shared understanding across teams.
Workflow & Experience Design
* Create service maps, workflow diagrams, and user journeys that reflect complex system and process environments.
* Identify inefficiencies and propose improved or simplified future-state experiences.
* Advocate for usability, accessibility, inclusivity, and clarity across all designed processes.
Interface Design, Prototyping & Testing
* Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI solutions aligned to user needs and product goals.
* Plan and run usability testing independently, iterating designs based on findings.
* Ensure designs align with and contribute to an established design system.
Delivery Support & Collaboration
* Provide clear design specifications and assets to development teams.
* Support implementation to ensure design intent and usability standards are maintained.
* Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to product and delivery decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience
* 4–7 years' experience in UX, product design, interaction design, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct independent user research, usability testing, and synthesis.
* Strong skills in workflow mapping, service design, and translating complex requirements into intuitive experiences.
* Proven experience designing interfaces and interactive prototypes using modern design tools (e.g. Figma).
* Ability to work autonomously across discovery, design, testing, and delivery.
* Strong communication skills, including presenting design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience collaborating within agile or cross-functional product teams.
Desirable Experience
* Experience working in complex, enterprise, or service-based environments.
* Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
* Experience contributing to or evolving a design system.
* Knowledge of service design or large-scale workflow design methods.
* Exposure to analytics tools or mixed-method research approaches.
