Role Summary
As an Integrated Rating on the RSV Nuyina, you'll play a vital role in supporting the safe and effective operations of vessels servicing the Antarctic and beyond. You'll be part of a highly skilled crew, carrying out diverse responsibilities ranging from deck operations to engine room maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform bridge lookout, day work duties, and maintenance tasks
- Support deck operations, including mooring, cargo handling, and heli‐deck activities
- Conduct engine room rounds, maintenance, and housekeeping
- Operate within the Safety Management System and promote best practices
- Participate in safety and emergency response drills and teams
- Assist in the training and development of cadets
Qualifications
- AMSA‐issued Certificate of Proficiency as an Integrated Rating
- Qualifications in Security Awareness, Advanced Firefighting, and proficiency in survival craft
- Valid First Aid Certificate and AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness
- Right to work in Australia and a valid passport
- Ability to undergo an AAD Polar Medical Examination
- Crane, small boat, or helicopter operations skills (desired but not essential)
