HEAD OF ENGINEERING — AI AGENT GOVERNANCE PLATFORM
We are building the infrastructure layer that regulated enterprises will rely on to safely deploy AI agents into production — and we need the engineering leader who will turn that vision into a shipping platform. The platform you will lead is a production-ready AI agent evaluation, compliance, and governance infrastructure system. It is not a side project or an MVP sketch — it enters your hands as a fully specified, architecturally mature system with decision records, database schemas, service definitions, evaluation frameworks, and a phased roadmap to Series A. In practical terms, the platform allows enterprises in Government, financial services, healthcare, and insurance to: Test AI agents systematically across a structured evaluation framework before deploying them into production Map those test results directly to regulated compliance frameworks — including Australian APRA CPS 234, US HIPAA, and international SOC 2 Type II — and produce evidence‑grade compliance reports Govern agent deployment through configurable multi‑stage approval workflows tied to risk tiers Monitor production agents continuously and receive predictive risk alerts before compliance failures occur Extend the platform with custom evaluation logic in a sandboxed execution environment The engineering stack is modern and deliberate: Rust for the execution engine, Go for API services, Python for evaluation and machine learning, React/TypeScript for the frontend, PostgreSQL with row-level security for multi‑tenancy, Kafka for event streaming, and AWS for infrastructure. The architecture is microservices‑based, well‑documented, and ready for a team to build against. What you will own
Engineering leadership Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed engineering team — currently a Hyderabad‑based squad of six engineers across Rust, Go, Python, and React, plus two US‑based architects Set engineering standards: code review culture, Definition of Done, sprint cadence, incident response, and technical debt management Build the hiring pipeline for the next six engineers as the platform scales toward Series A Act as the technical voice in commercial conversations — design partner onboarding, investor technical due diligence, and enterprise procurement discussions Architecture and technical direction Own the platform's technical roadmap in partnership with the founder — deciding what to build next, what to simplify, and what to defer Make architecture decisions that balance delivery velocity with the non‑negotiable quality bar required for regulated‑industry enterprise customers Ensure every architectural decision is documented, traceable, and defensible — the platform has 57 Architecture Decision Records and that discipline will continue under your leadership Drive the platform's machine learning infrastructure including a predictive governance engine that forecasts agent failure before it occurs — built on an ensemble of XGBoost, Temporal Fusion Transformer, and anomaly detection models
Delivery and operations Own sprint planning and delivery against a defined 8‑sprint, 16‑week roadmap to General Availability Manage the CI/CD pipeline, deployment infrastructure, and SLA commitments for enterprise customers Lead the platform's security posture — including an upcoming third‑party penetration test — and ensure all engineering practices meet the security standards required by financial services and healthcare customers Coordinate IP hygiene: ensuring code contributions are properly assigned, engineering decisions that constitute potential inventions are documented, and the team operates with the discipline required to support a patent portfolio Unlock job insights
