Randstad has been engaged to recruit a Social Planning Officer (Band 7) to support a local government agency in delivering critical social infrastructure projects for its growing community.

The role:
The Social Planning Officer will undertake comprehensive planning and analysis to support the implementation of the early years reform. This includes overseeing the expansion and renewal of child-focused services, and ensuring appropriate facilities are delivered. The role requires working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct research and analysis to inform the planning and implementation of children's services infrastructure.

- Lead assessments to evaluate the capacity and viability of independent children's service facilities.

- Create options papers and implementation plans to guide service models and infrastructure development.

- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.

- Offer strategic advice to decision-makers based on service planning and community infrastructure requirements.

Skills and Experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in Social Planning, Urban Planning, Project Management, or a relevant field.

- At least 4-5 years' experience in a similar role.

- Solid understanding of children's service infrastructure, including early childhood facility planning.

- Proven experience in planning community facilities and managing stakeholder relationships.
