Procurement Specialist Opportunity
This role involves collaborating with the purchasing and procurement coordinator to monitor, review, and evaluate purchasing and procurement activities ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Formal monitoring and review of purchasing and procurement activities to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures and terms of agreement.
* Collaboration with the Purchasing and Procurement Coordinator on various procurement-related tasks.
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in purchasing, tendering, contract management, or a related field.
* Extensive job-related experience in purchasing, supply chain management, and/or accounting systems.
* High level of IT literacy, together with substantial experience in supply chain or purchasing practices.
* Well-developed oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively negotiate.
* Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Sound understanding of WH&S requirements and regulations as it relates to purchasing and procurement.
* Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WHS, and ethical practice principles at all times.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Demonstrated understanding of procurement processes within a Public Sector environment.
* Experience in applying the Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government Regulations in relation to Tendering.
* Experience with Authority Local Government Software.
